I recently got married to my Malaysian-Chinese husband and I'm a Filipina. We went through a lot during the process and it was a trial and error kind of thing for us as we have no idea what we're getting into, no clear information as the staff are also confused on what instructions to give us. Most of the time we were repeating the process from the scratch and flying in and out of the state for something completely absurd and an error on their part that's why I decided to post this article to help some of you who might be trying to have your solemnization here in Malaysia with your Malaysian partner. We started the process at around May 2016 (in the Philippines) June 2016 (in Malaysia) and finally got married last September 2016.
